ARRIVAL AT BENITO JUAREZ AIRPORT IN MEXICO CITY. Arrival at Benito Juárez International Airport in Mexico City (MEX), reception and welcome by our staff.
ATLIXCO 'VALLEY OF CATRINAS' AND VAL´QUIRICO 'THE MEXICAN TUSCANY'. Breakfast included. We will start the tour to the Magic Town of Atlixco de las Flores, founded in 1579, a unique population that combines urban growth with its vast New Spanish heritage, we will walk through its pleasant streets and historic center, where we will visit the Municipal Palace with murals by the artist Juan Manuel Martínez Caltenco, the Parish of Santa María de la Natividad, El Quisco, Former Convent of San Francisco, Monumental Clock and the Wide Staircase with the mural of the Atlixquenses; during the walk we will enjoy the Valley of the Catrinas, sculptures more than 2 meters high made by the hands of the Atlixquense artisans with cardboard representative of the Day of the Dead. We will continue to the Town of Val ´Quirico, located in the state of Tlaxcala, a population in the style of medieval Italian Tuscany, where we can walk through its alleys with gardens and stone tunnels that lead you directly to the plazas, this unique population offers us a wide variety of gastronomic offerings from various parts of the world, you can also take incredible photos on its stone facades, adobe, wood and brick constructions, all beautifully decorated for the Day of the Dead festivities.
BASILICA OF GUADALUPE – TEOTIHUACAN. After breakfast included. We will start our tour to the Basilica of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Sanctuary of the Patroness of Mexicans, where we can admire the genuine cloak of Juan Diego with the Virgin, guaranteed time to enjoy the mass. We will continue the tour of the archaeological area of Teotihuacan, we will know the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, as well as other ruins of equal importance, plus a brief explanation about the making of pulque 'The White Liquor' (traditional drink of pre-Hispanic Mexico) and obsidian crafts. Return to the hotel, accommodation.
DAY OF THE DEAD IN CDMX – MONUMENTAL OFFERINGS AND MEXICRANEOS. Breakfast included. we will go to the Historic Center of 'City of Palaces', we will know: the Plaza de la Constitución or Zócalo, the National Palace (with its fabulous murals, access subject to authorization of the authorities), the magnificent Metropolitan Cathedral and the ruins of the Major Aztec Temple (from the pre-Hispanic era), the main avenues, monuments, we will continue visiting the Monumental Offerings of the Day of the Dead, where we can see all the elements that make up the traditional offerings, as well as thematic offerings. We will walk along the Paseo de la Reforma Avenue where we can admire the exhibition of Mexicraneos, beautifully decorated by artists representing Mexican culture.
DEPARTURE TRANSFER TO BENITO JUAREZ AIRPORT (MEX) IN MEXICO CITY. After breakfast included at the scheduled time transfer to the Airport to take flight home (regardless of the transfer time to the airport the room must be vacated by 12:00 noon, i.e., midday).
